ABOUT SABRINA

Hi there, my name is Sabrina and I am a passionate travel blogger and content creator. 📍 Kaysersberg, Alsace, France 🇫🇷 Our las 📍 Kaysersberg, Alsace, France 🇫🇷

Our last three months have basically been a mixture of packing, trips and a couple of days at home in between.

We had some nice long weekend vacations, business trips and day trips.

While every single memory of this time is precious, we are also exhausted. In the future, we plan on doing less trips and staying longer instead.

For now, we still have a couple of super busy months ahead of us. I am about to travel to Austria for about a month while Justin is headed to the Caribbean on monday.

Are you sometimes tired of traveling?

Hautvillers is a picturesque village and one of my Hautvillers is a picturesque village and one of my favorite spots in the Champagne region. Hautvillers is situated on the hillside of the Montagne de Reims. From Hautvillers you have an amazing view over the valley. It is located about 3 kilometers south of Épernay.

The village itself offers charming streets, traditional half-timbered houses, and historical buildings. Walking through Hautvillers feels like stepping back in time. You can catch a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage while taking in the breathtaking views.

Without a doubt the most important place to visit in Hautvillers is the Abbey of Saint Pierre.

The abbey was founded in the 7th century.

It is famous for being the home of Dom Pérignon. Dom Perignon was a monk, who made big contributions to the development of Champagne. They call him the birth-father of Champagne because he was perfecting the Champagne-making process.

In the Abbey, you can see the final resting place of Dom Perignon.

Do you like visiting churches and abbeys on your travels?

📍 Ay de Champagne 🇫🇷 With its slightly m 📍 Ay de Champagne 🇫🇷

With its slightly more than 4000 inhabitants, Aÿ is the largest of the “villages” in Champagne. It has a bit more to offer tourists than many of the other villages, and here we find the largest collection of well-known Champagne houses outside of Reims and Épernay.

I loved Aÿ for its charm and quietness in comparison to Epernay and Reims.

One of the most impressive buildings in AŸ is the 15th century gothic church!

Would you visit Aÿ de Champagne?

How can I afford to travel so much? 👗 This is How can I afford to travel so much? 👗

This is one of the questions I get asked the most! Sadly, the internet is full of weird get-rich-quick schemes that promise you 100 % freedom and 0 % work.

But that is not the reality. This is why I wanted to be honest about how I can afford all my travels.

- 80 % of my income comes from corporate law & business consulting. I have my own company and I do freelance consults. it is a grind and takes a lot of time but does pay well
- 20 % of my income comes from my travel blog. I love my legal work but it lacks creativity, do I decided to do something creative on the side and to make some passive income.

My husband still has a regular job with a normal income. His job sometimes comes with travel opportunities that I can join in on. We also have lots of Airmiles and hotel loyalty points from all the business travel. That of course helps finance our new adventures (:

Luckily for me, legal consulting has always paid well because I had previous work experience and university degrees. But please don't let anyone tell you to simply quit your job and magically get rich the next day with some network marketing scheme, shady investment, or another unrealistic opportunity.

There are many upsides and downsides to being your own boss and owning your own business. For me personally, being self-employed is the perfect fit and I enjoy every minute of it! But always be realistic about how much work it actually is and how much people online are intentionally not showing when they promise their scheme.

Do you work for yourself/are a digital nomad or do you work a 9/5? Lmk in the comments, super curious about that (:
